Focusing on the theme of “being human,” this exhibition promotes the unity and harmony of women and men while envisioning a world with “zero tolerance” for any form of violence. The event will showcase handcrafted jewelry created by women artists.
The opening cocktail will take place on December 4 at 7:00 PM, and the exhibition will be open to visitors at Nevmekan Selimiye until December 17.
“As in many moments throughout history, today we often find ourselves forgetting the essence and becoming fixated on appearances, confronting the shortcomings, flaws, and weaknesses cast in the shadow of our imperfections. In our attempts to escape them, we often fail to notice how much we have changed.
The journey of being human is, in fact, the continuous transformation of our dense nature into something more refined. How far we have progressed individually, socially, or globally remains uncertain. Yet, art, as one of the key domains shaping this journey, offers us a space for personal and collective effort to make the world more livable amidst the flow of time.
As the women of the “Yüz On Bir” exhibition, we have come together once again to highlight love, peace, and brotherhood as the essence of our existence and to celebrate the joy of creation. By processing the raw materials at hand and designing jewels inspired by different perspectives and dreams, we offer these treasures to your witness in the gallery of the earth.
Our exhibition, featuring 111 wearable objects crafted by women, is dedicated to all women, all individuals working for women’s sensitivity, and society as a whole. It carries a wish for a country, a world, and a future where perceptions of women and men are transformed and where we live by the principle of “zero tolerance for violence.”
