The mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, Tunç Soyer, spent the Eid al-Fitr in Osmaniye, where the general coordination of the earthquake relief efforts is being undertaken by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality. As part of the program, which was also attended by the leader of the Democrat Party, Gültekin Uysal, Mayor Soyer performed the Eid prayer at the Osmaniye Zafer Mosque. He then met with earthquake victims at the Toprak Mahsulleri Office.

Efforts to heal the wounds of the earthquake continue in Osmaniye, where the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality is overseeing the general coordination. Mayor Soyer, who frequently visits Osmaniye to meet with earthquake victims, spent the first day of Eid al-Fitr in Osmaniye. Mayor Soyer’s program in Osmaniye began with the Eid prayer. Following the prayer, which was attended by Osmaniye Governor Erdinç Yılmaz and local residents, Mayor Soyer went to the coordination center established by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality in the city. Mayor Soyer was accompanied by Democrat Party Leader Gültekin Uysal, CHP Party Assembly Member and CHP Izmir Deputy Candidate Rıfat Nalbantoğlu, CHP Osmaniye Deputy Baha Ünlü, CHP Osmaniye Provincial Chairman Şükret Çaylı, and other political party provincial leaders.

Mayor Soyer also met with earthquake victims at the coordination center set up by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality at the Toprak Mahsulleri Office in Osmaniye. Osmaniye Mayor Kadir Kara also came to see Mayor Soyer at the TMO. The two mayors chatted briefly during their meeting.
