After the honey forest, Mayor Mehmet Kanar, who brought Turkey’s first Bee Market to Mustafakemalpaşa, said that with many agricultural projects that they will add, abundance and prosperity will sprout from the fertile lands of the district.
Mayor Kanar, who stated that “Mustafakemalpaşa is one of the few districts with the highest bee potential,” brought the beekeepers and honey producers together with the “Bee Market,” which sheds light on the beekeeping sector and gave a new breath to the industry. The Bee Market, consisting of 170 producers, received intense interest from surrounding cities.
Mustafakemalpaşa Municipality Agricultural Services Directorate, which increases the variety of products, particularly high-value-added vegetables, fruits, and medicinal aromatic plants, for not leaving a single unplanted soil in Mustafakemalpaşa, allows producers to give the soil the value it deserves thanks to the support it provides to the producers.
Mustafakemalpaşa Municipality, which offers alternative products to tomatoes and peppers, and opens a source of income for women and producers, brought a new breath to the district with the Bee Market.
Mayor Mehmet Kanar, who gave the news that the 2nd Honey Forest, which was brought to Mustafakemalpaşa with the contributions of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, has been completed, said, “Every region has its own honey, and our region has honey and is sold, but there is no official market where bee sales are made. We said, ‘Why don’t we establish this market in Mustafakemalpaşa?’ and we did. This is a start, and we hope to make it a tradition.”
Bursa Beekeeping Association President Umut Buğra Kavas, Mustafakemalpaşa Chamber of Commerce President Saadettin Akkoyunlu, and district protocol attended the Bee Market Opening Program, and bee producers from the district and surrounding districts showed intense interest.
