Eksim Ventures has invested in Finekra, a financial technology venture that offers open banking-based services. Finekra provides solutions to companies, banks, and electronic money institutions and aims to expand its domestic operations and become a global fintech company with the new investment.
Uğur Mutluhan Oruncak, a member of Eksim Ventures Investment Committee, said, “Investments in the global fintech sector exceeded $160 billion in 2022. Companies operating in the fintech field are among the most popular ventures in Turkey. We anticipate that interest in the fintech market will continue to grow in the future. In line with this, we wanted to support Finekra’s development and growth journey.”
Eksim Ventures is continuing to expand its portfolio by investing in Finekra, a financial technology venture that helps manage banking, payment, and collection processes through a single portal. The investment round, valued at $5 million, was led by Eksim Ventures and also included existing investors Aktif Ventures, Sertaç Özinal, and Alesta Yatırım.
Finekra, which aims to expand its successful domestic operations overseas and become a global fintech company with the new investment, currently provides quality services that simplify daily financial operations such as accessing all bank accounts of over 500 companies from a single location, tracking POS transactions, and viewing bank limits.
Erhan Zengin, CEO of Finekra, which was established in 2017 and launched the ‘Cash Management Platform,’ which also includes open banking solutions, the following year, stated the company’s objectives as follows: “Our first goal is to be the first brand that comes to mind in open banking and fintech discussions both in Turkey and abroad, along with our growing team.”
