Yıldız Holding employees have successfully completed the Sustainability Education Program organized in collaboration with Boğaziçi University Lifelong Learning Center (BÜYEM) and the Sustainable Development Solutions Network Turkey (SDSN Turkey).
Yıldız Holding, which operates with the understanding of “This World is Ours” and a focus on creating sustainable value for all stakeholders, continues its work with the vision of becoming one of the leading global companies in the field of sustainability.
In this context, the “This World is Ours Sustainability Education Program” organized in collaboration with Boğaziçi University Lifelong Learning Center (BÜYEM) and the Sustainable Development Solutions Network Turkey (SDSN Turkey) was completed to increase the knowledge and skills of Yıldız Holding employees in environmental, social and governance areas. The 12-week online training program, in which employees from 17 different companies within Yıldız Holding participated, was specially designed according to Yıldız Holding’s sustainability focus areas and strategic objectives.
The education program, consisting of four modules titled “Sustainability Agenda,” “The Future of Nature,” “Strengthening with Stakeholders,” and “Inspiring the Future,” provided training on topics such as Carbon Management, Water Management, Circular Economy, Sustainable Agriculture, Diversity and Inclusion.
Participants who successfully completed the 24-hour training program, which was conducted by Prof. Dr. Eser Borak, Prof. Dr. Arzu Tektaş, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aslı D. Helvacıoğlu, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sevgi Kesim, Dr. Duygu S. Öztürk, Prof. Dr. Mine Eder, Dr. Tamer Atabarut, Dr. Akgün İlhan, Prof. Dr. Gökhan Özertan, Aslıhan Arıkan, Özge Ayşe Kepenek Bozkıroğlu, Bahar Özay, Erman Fenerci, and Aslı Kurtuluş, were entitled to receive a certificate of achievement.

Atabarut: Our education program sets a good example of university and business collaboration
Dr. Tamer Atabarut, Director of Boğaziçi University Lifelong Education Center (BÜYEM) and UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Turkey Board Member, stated: “The global problems such as climate crisis, loss of biodiversity, rapid depletion of resources, and high cost of living, which we are increasingly experiencing, are pushing humanity towards a new order.
