Dalsan Gypsum, one of the leading companies in the gypsum sector in Turkey, and Saint-Gobain Rigips Gypsum, one of the world’s most important companies in sustainable and lightweight construction solutions, have merged their strengths.
The partnership agreement between Dalsan Gypsum, operating in the gypsum and plasterboard sector since 1932 and the market leader in Turkey, and Saint-Gobain Rigips Gypsum, one of the key players in the industry worldwide, among Saint-Gobain’s companies in Turkey, has been finalized with the completion of the Competition Board’s approval process. This partnership represents a significant foreign investment that will contribute to the construction sector and the Turkish economy. It was announced that the two companies will continue their existing legal entities, production, and services in the same manner. Once the process is completed, the companies will merge under the entity of “Dalsan Gypsum Industry and Trade Inc.” with a 50-50 partnership.
INCREASED PRODUCTION AND EXPORTS, BENEFITS FOR TURKEY
With this merger, the aim is to produce approximately 100 million square meters of plasterboard, more than 2 million tons of packaged or silo-shipped building materials, and over 50 million linear meters of drywall system profiles in a total of 5 facilities. The new structure will allow both companies to offer innovative, sustainable, and lightweight construction solutions to their customers, leveraging their accumulated knowledge, experiences, and expanding gypsum and plasterboard capacities. These solutions will meet the increasing domestic demand and contribute to the sector’s export growth, providing added value to the country’s economy. The alliance formed through this partnership aims to continue its strength in neighboring regions as well.
