Yusuf Taktak’s solo exhibition titled “Different Time – Different Place,” featuring his recent works created with mixed techniques inside boxes along with canvas paintings, will open on September 14th at Brieflyart Gallery! The exhibition, which reflects the impact of the recent natural disasters in our country in the artworks, will be open for visitors at Brieflyart until October 15, 2023.
Brieflyart, which has been active in the art scene since 2020, has been embracing plastic arts in its physical space in Gümüşsuyu since 2022.
Between September 14 and October 15, 2023, Brieflyart will host the new solo exhibition “Different Time – Different Place” by painter and academic Yusuf Taktak. The artist, as in all his exhibitions, will showcase a selection of works that include not only paintings but also three-dimensional pieces at Brieflyart. Yusuf Taktak, who has been producing collage and assemblage examples along with installations in line with his own understanding since his student years in academia, evaluates reality and illusion together in his mixed technique works on large boxes and in his paintings. The impact of the recent natural disasters in our country is also reflected in the artworks featured in the “Different Time – Different Place” exhibition.
The catalog prepared for the exhibition includes not only all the works but also an essay by Nusret Polat on Yusuf Taktak and his art practice.
Yusuf Taktak’s solo exhibition titled “Different Time – Different Place” can be visited at Brieflyart until October 15, 2023, on Tuesdays to Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM and on Sundays from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
