About Fişekhane:
Fişekhane, Istanbul’s new center for culture, art, entertainment, and life, is a meeting point with its 170-year-old historical structure. Fişek Fabrikası, also known as Fişekhane, was one of the important buildings within the “Zeytinburnu Fabrika-i Hümayun,” which was a symbol of the modernization efforts of the Ottoman Empire and its army during the first half of the 19th century, a period filled with wars. This historic structure, which has a special place in the history of the city with its industrial identity, has been closed to the public for over a century. It was brought back to life with a world-class restoration effort while preserving its originality. Fişekhane, with its historical atmosphere reflecting the architecture of the 19th century, takes visitors on a fascinating journey. Fişekhane offers visitors all areas of art with its 417-seat main stage, 220-seat second stage, 100-seat Black Box alternative stage, a total of 671-seat cinema halls, and the Cocoon art production exhibition space. During the summer, Deniz Sahne, located by the seaside, hosts stage arts and concert events for 2300 people. Additionally, Fişekhane brings together culture, art, gastronomy, and a good life under one roof through its streets, open spaces, unique chef restaurants serving world cuisine, festivals, and events.
