Turkey has achieved significant success in furniture exports, according to the latest data. According to figures released by the Turkish Exporters’ Assembly (TİM), Turkey achieved $392 million in furniture exports in August.
Here are the details of this success:
Monthly data reveals the most significant increases in Turkish furniture exports, with a 1200% rise in the Saudi Arabian market and a 14.30% increase in the Romanian market. Saudi Arabia and Romania played a vital role in this achievement by showing great interest in Turkish furniture.
Turkey, which exports furniture to many countries worldwide, announced that the total furniture exports for the last 8 months amounted to $3 billion. This highlights Turkey’s strong position in the furniture sector.
The importance placed on handmade-style products in Turkish furniture exports puts the country in an advantageous position compared to other nations. The scarcity of such products worldwide has made Turkish furniture a preferred choice.
While avant-garde style furniture is still favored in Middle Eastern countries, there is an increasing demand for luxury and modern designs in the European and American markets. Turkish furniture manufacturers successfully cater to these varying demands.
Among the countries with which Turkey conducts the most furniture exports are Iraq and Russia, with significant interest in Turkish furniture also coming from countries such as Germany, France, Romania, the Netherlands, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
Turkish Furniture Export Target: $10 Billion
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the award-winning furniture brand Asortie, Murat Erat, has set ambitious goals to further expand Turkey’s furniture exports. Erat stated, “We want to raise our country’s furniture exports to $10 billion on the centennial of our Republic. To achieve this, all sector stakeholders and our government will continue to work tirelessly to make Turkish Furniture a global brand.” The Turkish furniture sector remains dedicated to working steadfastly towards this goal.
