The International Tarsus Festival organized by the Mersin Metropolitan Municipality is taking place for the second time this year. The festival meets participants with the theme ‘Şahmeran’ (a mythical creature in Turkish folklore) this year.
Welcoming Participants of All Ages with the Rich Content of the Festival
The festival brings together participants of all ages, from 7 to 70, by hosting a diverse range of events such as talks, concerts, exhibitions, dance performances, street events, youth experience areas, campgrounds, paragliding, cycling trails, talk shows, children’s workshops, and producer women’s booths.
On the first day of the festival, the famous singer Simge Sağın took the stage and met a large crowd that had been waiting for hours before in Tarsus-Mersin. Sağın, who exhilarated the audience with the songs she performed, showcased a performance on stage for about 2 hours.
Simge Sağın Ended the Night with a Special Song for Tarsus
Throughout her stage performance, Simge Sağın thanked her fans and expressed her happiness to be in Tarsus. At the finale of the concert, she made the night unforgettable by singing the song ‘Aşkın Olayım’ (Let’s Be Love) together with all the people of Tarsus-Mersin.
