Painter Pınar Kuseyri, one of the colorful names of the art world, brought her “Breath of Nature” themed exhibition, which includes her works created with mixed techniques applied on canvas, to art lovers at SANKO Art Gallery. The exhibition, which made an important contribution to Gaziantep’s cultural and artistic life, attracted great attention from visitors.
Emphasis on the Unifying Power of Art
In his speech at the opening of the exhibition, painter Kuseyri emphasized the unifying power of art on social development. Stating that art contributes not only to the development of society but also to the spiritual healing of individuals, Kuseyri suggested that every individual should be interested in different branches of art.
“I create the works in my exhibition with the understanding that ‘less is more’,” Kuseyri said, adding that he emphasizes the effects of Far Eastern philosophy in his paintings. Emphasizing that art has no perfection and accuracy, the painter emphasized the importance of improving oneself by constantly observing nature and the place where one lives.
Abstraction of Details and Emphasis on Color
In his paintings about nature, vineyards, trees and leaves, Kuseyri highlights the details with macro-frame abstractions, presenting sensations with an emphasis on color, giving the viewer a unique experience. In his paintings, the artist aims to stay in the flow, abandon rigidity and pessimism, and leave no room for coincidences, and shares these thoughts with the viewers.
The Center of Attention of Gaziantep Art Lovers
Expressing his happiness for the opening of the exhibition in Gaziantep, Kuseyri thanked SANKO Art Gallery and art lovers from Gaziantep. The exhibition opening, which was also attended by Cengiz Halil Çiçek, Vice Chairman of the Executive Board of SANKO Art Gallery, and Murat Köylüoğlu, Member of the Executive Board, ended with the presentation of the book “Belkıs Zeugma and Mosaics”, the scientific publication of the Gaziantep Museum printed by SANKO Holding, to the painter Kuseyri by Hüseyin Yıldırım, Painting Teacher of Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce Fine Arts High School.

About Pınar Kuseyri:
Pınar Kuseyri started her artistic life by drawing carpet and rug motifs at a young age, and later studied economics. In 2001, she developed her artistic skills by taking drawing lessons from Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu workshop teachers. With her interest in Japanese watercolor painting, she completed the highest Dan (kur) in the courses she started in 2009 and gave courses in this field. She completed her master’s degree at Yeditepe University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Plastic Arts and reinforced her success in her art. Kuseyri, who has studied lithography, natural paper making, ecoprint printing, ceramics, sculpture, glass fusion, wood printing, photography and art history, has participated in many solo and group exhibitions and has taken part in international workshops and exhibitions. The artist continues to work in her studios in Istanbul and Bodrum.
