Ballerina, ballet instructor, psychologist, actress, writer, director and choreographer Filiz Coşkuner told Eylül Aşkın how she managed to fit so much education and experience into the artistic life she started at the age of three.
Coşkuner, who started ballet training at the age of three with the foresight and support of her family, was admitted to the Istanbul University State Conservatory Ballet Department at the age of nine and graduated as a licensed ballerina in the first year of high school, is also the owner, director and instructor of Filiz Coşkuner Ballet School, which has been operating in Büyükçekmece since 1996 and has an education curriculum equivalent to a part-time conservatory.

Filiz Coşkuner stated that she does not care much about criteria such as physical predisposition, etc. other than the student’s desire, determination and hard work in ballet education, and that she also accepts physically disabled students to her school.
