Authorized Economic Operator Status and Authorized Shipper Documents are held by 59 current logistics companies in Turkey. Stating that one of them is KRE Kare Logistics, Berk Yalçınkaya, the general manager of the company, said, “Effective logistics service means speed and speed. Authorized Economic Operator Status, which is short for YYS, is a document granted to persons who meet the conditions stipulated in the Regulation on Facilitation of Customs Transactions and who are deemed to be resident in the Turkish Customs Territory, including free zones, in accordance with customs legislation, in order to benefit from certain facilities stipulated in customs and foreign trade legislation.
Stating that YYS is currently available in 59 logistics companies in Turkey, Berk Yalçınkaya, General Manager of KRE Kare Logistics, said: “YYS are authorization certificates given to companies with certain status in order to accelerate exports and imports on behalf of our country. OUR VEHICLES DO NOT ENTER DOMESTIC CUSTOMS, WE CAN PERFORM ALL CUSTOMS PROCEDURES IN OUR FACILITIES
Stating that logistics companies with YYS have very important advantages, Yalçınkaya said, “When we have these documents, our vehicles do not enter the internal customs, we can complete all customs procedures from A to Z in our own facility and ensure vehicle exit. While a car loses 1 day due to the intensity of the internal customs, instead, we can quickly complete the procedures in our own facility and ensure the exit of the vehicle even faster. Since we work in Balkan countries, even the time lost in going to the internal customs is very important for us. Since we compete with time at close distances, we try to deliver fast. Since even 1 day or 6-8 hours to be lost there is very valuable for us, YYS provides this advantage. Sometimes a loss of 1 hour can cause a loss of 1 day or even 2 days at the border crossing. The vehicle arriving 1 hour late can cause us to lose very serious time at the border gate. You go to the border crossing, you coincide with working hours, there are people who go before you, there are queues, etc. YYS and Authorized Shipper is our most important document that prevents this.”
THERE ARE DIFFICULTIES IN GETTING THE YYS, IT SHOULD NOT BE GIVEN TO EVERYONE!
“The prerequisites for obtaining the YYS are difficult and, in my opinion, should be difficult. It should not be given to everyone. It is a document in which the company is responsible for everything from private security, 24/7 security, camera recordings, the system being affiliated to the Ministry of Trade, the guarantees given to the Ministry of Trade, the tracking of the cargo, and the content of the cargo. It is difficult to have a YYS and an authorized shipper. In order to obtain YYS, certain audits are carried out for a long time. It is actually a document that includes many technological infrastructures such as tracking your facility from A to Z, camera, camera, archiving, keeping all documentation in the cloud system, also on the server, etc.” Yalçınkaya said that YYS ensures early delivery of shipments to the customer and emphasized that the customer receives a fast service thanks to YYS.

Underlining that effective logistics service means speed and speed, Berk Yalçınkaya, General Manager of KRE Kare Logistics, said: “Since we are a partial loading intensive company, our vehicles used to queue at Muratbey Customs after being loaded from our warehouse. The queue would already be long at Muratbey Customs. Before public holidays, 30 km long queues would form. Once inside, we would lose a long time due to the intensity of the procedures. While we deliver to the Balkan countries in 2 days from here, losing 1.5 or 2 days at the domestic customs means a loss to us, the customer, the importer and the exporter. When the warehouse finishes loading, we can finish the customs procedures and ensure the exit of the vehicle at the same speed.”
WE DO OUR WORK IN THE FASTEST WAY WITH OUR YYS, PERMITTED SHIPPER and ETGB CERTIFICATES
Yalçınkaya said that they currently have all authorization certificates and that they have a ready infrastructure to receive new certificates that may be issued. “Both the YYS and the authorized shipper authorization certificate must be both at the same time. These are 2 separate authorization documents. Having only YYS means that the work will speed up a bit more, but it means that it cannot complete the transactions from its own facility. Therefore, we have both YYS and Authorized Shipper Authorization Certificate. In addition, we have ETGB (Electronic Customs Trade Certificate) permission that we have just received.” Yalçınkaya concluded his words as follows: “ETGB permit is related to e-export logistics. Since we have both YYS and authorized shipper authorization documents, we can load the internal customs procedures with ETGB on our own vehicles and finish them within our own structure. ETGB provides micro exports. The advantage of micro exports is this: An exporter can open a micro export, i.e. ETGB declaration, up to a maximum of 300 kg and a maximum limit of 15 thousand euros. This reduces the cost of the customer in the declaration and at the same time, it can provide all the advantages of a normal export declaration up to the VAT refund. We are able to provide this exit without entering customs, in our own facility, in our own warehouse, within our own structure.”
