With his hyperrealistic portraits, Şahin DEMİR is preparing to meet art lovers with his painting exhibition “SORGUDA,” curated by Zeynep ÖZTÜRK, at DG Art Project from September 24 to October 12. The exhibition draws attention to the artist’s works that portray human faces lost in the chaos of the city and drowned in silence.
In this exhibition, the artist brings to life portraits of individuals who have gone silent, communicating only with their eyes, and questioning life. The movement within stillness is created through layers of rising paint, offering the audience an experience where the line between reality and imagination fades. The works, marked by the intense use of contrasting colors, provide a three-dimensional, sculptural visual effect for the viewer.
Şahin DEMİR’s exhibition “SORGUDA” can be visited at DG Art Project until October 12, 2024. With its approach that challenges the boundaries of contemporary portraiture, the exhibition aims to provide art enthusiasts with a unique visual experience.
