The exhibition, in addition to being the artist’s first solo show, stands out with its themes of upcycling and sustainability. Shaped around concepts that traverse times and spaces, it invites the audience into an extraordinary experience.
In his reinterpreted frames, Orçun Beslen, much like a storyteller, shares his personal journey and the feelings he encountered along the way. We also see examples from his healing and therapeutic processes, possibly as outcomes of his “personal rooms” where he found refuge, as well as characters he created and his diverse spectrum of creative practices.
The multi-voiced “Atonal Sounds Choir” offers viewers a unique perspective through an experience that envelops them within its layers.
The spread and movement of the exhibition within the gallery space seem to open a door to timelessness. In this sense, the gallery’s stance on eliminating distances in art continues to add value to both the art and the artist, centered on ideas of experience and liberation.
In this sense, as well as with the gallery’s innovative approach that merges the street with the space, it perfectly aligns with the theme and expression of the exhibition.
The “Atonal Sounds Choir” can be visited at 8Artı1 Gallery, located at Nida Çıkmazı No:2, Kalamış, until November 9.
