Evrim Art Gallery brought together Istanbul’s art audience and enthusiasts with artist Tuğba Küçükbahar’s solo exhibition, “From Sand to Dust, From Clay to Cry”, which blends the ceramic dance of an inner journey with myths breathing through clay, on Saturday, March 15, 2025.
Curator Günsu Saraçoğlu stated: “Tuğba Küçükbahar’s ceramic exhibition invites the audience on a metamorphic journey, drifting between the origins of life and the inner labyrinths of the human soul. The artist transforms each touch in her creative process into a ritual that embodies personal transformation. Her works unite the mysteries of esoteric mythology with the stories carried by the ancient winds of the Mediterranean, drawing the viewer into a timeless dialogue.”

Each ceramic piece is not merely an object but a fragment torn from the artist’s soul. Küçükbahar masterfully blends the volumetric power of sculpture with the poetic language of painting, making them dance through ceramics. As the figures take shape in the moments when earth meets fire, they also reveal the emotional layers embedded in the creative process. The revival of esoteric symbols on clay transforms into a mirror that questions humanity’s trace in the universe.
This exhibition is a manifesto of an inner journey, shaped by the sweat of labor and the breath of passion. It calls the audience to confront not only art but also the fragility and beauty of their own existence. Tuğba Küçükbahar describes her works as a silent scream, saying: “Think, touch, and discover yourself…”

Betül Ketenci, the founder of Evrim Art Gallery, shared her thoughts on the exhibition: “As Evrim Art Gallery, we are thrilled to host this collection, which brings together Tuğba Küçükbahar’s recent works. Through the exhibitions and events we have planned throughout the year, we aim to open new horizons for art lovers and invite them on an aesthetic journey. We welcome everyone to our gallery to experience and share the transformative power of art.”

Artist Tuğba Küçükbahar’s exhibition “From Sand to Dust, From Clay to Cry” can be visited at Evrim Art Gallery until April 3, 2025.
