At Evrim Art Gallery, Poet and Painter Can Emre Dağ’s solo exhibition titled “I saw a “VISION”” opened its doors to art lovers on Saturday, April 20, 2024. Well-known names from the art community and art lovers showed great interest in the opening cocktail of the exhibition.
Painter Can Emre Dağ brought 46 oil paintings to art lovers. Displaying his works accompanied by a text written by artist Süheyl Uygur, Dağ gave the audience an emotional experience with his works.
“I am free now. I am free from my reflection in the mirror and reach out my hand towards the freedom of the sky. I leave the darkness of the world behind me and start my unknown journey with the hope of heaven. My reflection is sad, regretful. But it’s too late for that. I separated myself from myself. Maybe it’s the good part of me that I left behind. Maybe it’s the bad part of me that ran to freedom and the darkness I ran away from that I thought was freedom. But still. I’m still leaving, leaving my side behind.”
Speaking about the exhibition, Evrim Art Gallery founder Betül Ketenci stated that they are proud to exhibit the works of young and successful artist Can Emre Dağ in their gallery. Stating that the works were highly appreciated, Ketenci invited all art lovers to join this emotional and aesthetic journey.
“i saw a “VISION”” exhibition can be visited at Evrim Art Gallery until May 2, 2024.
