The eagerly awaited early booking period has begun. For holidaymakers who want to enjoy their vacation at advantageous prices, the early booking period offers attractive discounts. With discount rates gradually changing, this period will continue until January. Those who don’t want to leave their 2025 summer vacation to the last minute have already started searching for holiday options with early bookings.
Gökhan Sivrikaya, CEO of Neredekal.com, commented on the early booking period: “Holidaymakers who want to book affordably have already started reserving for June, July, and August with the start of the early booking season. According to current searches, Alanya, Marmaris, Çeşme, and Bodrum are trending for June. In July, Antalya, Bodrum, Fethiye, and Kaş are preferred, while in August, Antalya, Kemer, Fethiye, Bodrum, and Manavgat are seeing the most searches. In the first phase of early bookings, properties offer their best prices with the highest discount rates. Additionally, with payment terms and refund guarantees offered by banks for credit card purchases, holidaymakers can better organize their 2025 summer vacation and take advantage of this period to plan a budget-friendly holiday,” he said.
Continuing Vacations in November
In November, holidaymakers looking to make the most of the last sunny days continue their searches in southern regions. According to Neredekal.com data, Antalya, Muğla, and Cyprus remain popular. Additionally, for the upcoming school midterm break from November 11-15, 2024, families are searching for destinations near Istanbul. In particular, Bolu, Sapanca, and Cappadocia stand out for midterm holiday searches. Bungalow and thermal hotels close to Istanbul, offering family-friendly amenities, are also influencing family preferences.
Turkey Chose Sapanca and Antalya in October
In October, Turkey’s top holiday choices were Sapanca and Antalya. Among Istanbul residents, 41% preferred Sapanca, 24% Antalya, and 22% Bodrum. From Izmir, 40% favored Antalya, 28% Bodrum, and 14% Marmaris. Meanwhile, 42% of Ankara residents chose Antalya, followed by 28% for Sapanca and 19% for Bodrum. A noticeable increase in holiday searches was observed in the last weeks of October, with the upcoming November school break prompting more searches as early as October.
Room Prices Increased the Most in Çanakkale
According to October consumer and producer price indices released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the third highest price increase was observed in the Restaurant and Hotels category, at 62.09%.
Data from over 23,000 properties listed on Neredekal.com shows that average hotel room prices in October rose by 49% compared to the previous year. Çanakkale experienced the highest room price increase at 63%, followed by Bolu at 57%, Mersin at 54%, and Balıkesir and Muğla at 53%, making them the top provinces for price hikes.
