Esther Gallery, an innovative international art gallery based in the eco-friendly Yangpyeong region of South Korea, continues to introduce Korean art to Turkish art enthusiasts at the 10th edition of the ARTANKARA Contemporary Art Fair. Becci Kim, the founder and director of the gallery, will represent Contemporary Korean Art and present its works to the Turkish audience.
ARTANKARA International Contemporary Art Fair showcases the works of hundreds of artists from over 40 countries with the participation of local and international galleries. The fair, taking place in March for its 10th edition, provides a platform for artists, galleries, collectors, art lovers, and academics to interact and showcase their efforts in various disciplines of art. Esther Gallery, which made a distinct impact last year with its works synthesizing traditional Korean art and contemporary art methods, earning high praise from art enthusiasts in Turkey, will participate in the fair for the second time this year. The preview of the fair is scheduled for March 6, with the general audience viewing from March 7 to 10 at Ato Congresium.
Focused on Turkey After the Earthquake
Becci Kim, the founder director and artist of the gallery, emphasized her increased focus on Turkey in artistic activities following the earthquake disaster. She expressed that she chose Turkey, particularly with the idea of “art for the people,” to support and console the Turkish people with the beauty of art. Delighted by the interest shown by Turkish art enthusiasts in last year’s fair and exhibitions, Becci stated that due to the significant interest in Korean art, she will actively participate in artistic events in Turkey in 2024, including ArtAnkara in March and ArtContact Istanbul in May.
