The “Charity Exhibition for Stray Animals,” organized collaboratively by the headmen of Caferağa, Rasimpaşa, and Zühtüpaşa neighborhoods with the support of volunteer artists, opened on January 7, 2025, at the 8artı1 Gallery.
The three-day event received significant attention from the very first day. Many of the artworks were sold shortly after the opening. The participation of Kadıköy District Governor Muhittin Pamuk at the opening night was met with great appreciation from local residents and animal lovers alike.
That same evening, a plaque was presented to the Kalamış Veterinary Clinic in recognition of their dedicated efforts and advocacy during the tragic cat massacre on March 18, 2023. This meaningful gesture highlighted the importance of sensitivity toward animal rights.
In these challenging times, when attempts are being made to legalize animal massacres, the exhibition offers an opportunity to support both the event and stray animals. It will remain open to visitors until Thursday, January 9, 2025.
