Damla Güdemez’s “Eternity” sculpture exhibition opens at ART212 Nişantaşı
“Eternity” sculpture exhibition by Damla Güdemez, one of the founders of Sounds of Paşaköy, will be presented to art lovers at Art212 Nişantaşı between 20-26 January.

Damla Güdemez, one of the founders of Sounds of Paşaköy Concerts, which came to life in Assos, is preparing to bring her sculptures to art lovers with her first solo exhibition “Eternity”. Güdemez, who has discovered that sculpture is much more than a hobby for her, in her adventure, which she has been dealing with as a hobby for more than ten years, carries the theme of the infinity of life to her works. In the exhibition, where olive tree leaves are used as a symbol of eternity in many sculptures, the income of the works to be sold will also be donated to the Shed Light on the Future Association.

“This is my first exhibition, so I wanted this and all my future works to be eternal”

Describing the theme of infinity he reflects in his works by naming his exhibition “Eternity”, Güdemez said, “Why do you say infinity; I think that life is eternal and nothing actually disappears, it just transforms. We also lead a life in Assos, where we escape from Istanbul whenever we find time. Our house is surrounded by olive trees. We look at the leaves and branches of each tree like our eyes, sit under it, and consume its fruit and oil as a cure. The olive tree is the symbol of immortality and eternity for me. The leaves you will see in many of my sculptures came to life with my sculptures with the inspiration I got from here. That’s why I named my exhibition infinity. It is my first exhibition, so I wanted this and all my future works to be eternal. Just like life, like the universe…”
