Hop Health, a next-generation health platform designed to connect doctors and patients from around the world, has received $1 million in investment from a group of prominent businesspeople, including important figures like Selçuk Esenyel and angel investors, in a round led by MADA VC under the management of Mehmet Ali Yalçındağ. With this investment, the company aims to strengthen its position in the Turkish market and expand globally, and is preparing for another investment round in the near future.
As the first digital platform in the health tourism sector, Hop Health announced that it secured $1 million from a round led by MADA VC, with valuable contributors such as Selçuk Esenyel and angel investors. The company plans to use this investment to enhance both its marketing and technological infrastructure, aiming to strengthen its position in Turkey and grow globally. Dr. Eren Ünal, Founder and CEO of Hop Health, stated, “The investment we received will support us in many aspects, from platform development to marketing strategies. We will use this funding to promote the quality of our service both locally and globally and to reach more patients. For the upcoming period, we are preparing for a new investment round and aim to secure $5 million in this process.”
Hop Health, which centers on health tourism, aims to address the disadvantages of neglect and lack of traceability through its digital platform. It strives to maximize its share of health tourism by recommending every point of user engagement, from accommodation and dining to shopping.
Year-End Revenue Target of $18 Million
Dr. Eren Ünal stated that Hop Health aims to support the national economy by attracting high-quality international patients through a model that combines health and tourism in Turkey. Their ultimate goal is to make the Turkish health sector a driving force for the country’s economy. Highlighting that health tourism fosters a wide ecosystem beyond just treatment services, Dr. Ünal noted, “A patient coming to our country spends only 40% of their total expenditure on healthcare. The remaining 60% is spent on shopping, clothing, dining, and tourism. Therefore, health tourism is a value that encompasses, supports, and expands multiple sectors. At Hop Health, we aim to be a structure that grows the pie rather than just taking a share of it. We have a revenue target of $18 million by the end of 2024 and $100 million by 2025.”
