ENKA Sanat celebrates the 85th birthday of master actor Gencol Erkal with the musical show “About Living – Letters from Bursa Prison” that has been staged for ten years. In the play, which will be staged at ENKA Auditorium on Wednesday, March 29, Genco Erkal will once again bring the audience together with the immortal lines of Nâzım Hikmet, together with the master Tülay Günal, with whom he has shared the same stage for years.
Adapted and directed by Genco Erkal for the 54th anniversary of Nazım Hikmet’s death, “About Living – Letters from Bursa Prison” meets theater lovers once again in its tenth year. In the play, which focuses on the life of the great poet in Bursa Prison, his passion for his wife, Piraye Hanım, his years of exile and his homesickness, Nâzım Hikmet’s epic poem of the same name comes to life once again, while the master actor Tülay Günal accompanies Genco Erkal on the stage. The music of the show bears the signature of Fazıl Say, Zülfü Livaneli, Cem Karaca, Tarık Öcal, Edip Akbayram, Tolga Çebi, Nadir Göktürk, Timur Selçuk.
