Cem Özer Before He Became ‘Cem Özer’…
Ercüment Vural shared a memory about a night when he performed at Jazzino Club, which was run by Cem Özer at the time in Gayrettepe after returning from Austria. After his performance, they took him to a venue called WOM in Etiler, where he met Grup Lokomotif and their then-vocalist, Melis Sökmen. Vural remarked, “Cem Özer wasn’t ‘Cem Özer’ yet back then; he was the son-in-law of the late Erol Abi. He had opened a jazz club, and Cem was managing it. That’s when we first met Cem Özer.”
He Told the Story of Meeting Onno Tunç!
Ercüment Vural recounted how he met Onno Tunç through Mehmet Tuna, the owner of the famous Şamdan, while he was living in Bebek. Thanks to Mehmet Tuna, who was very close friends with Onno Tunç, the two were introduced. Reflecting on the moment, Vural said, “Mehmet Tuna was a very close friend of Onno Tunç, and somehow he brought us together. We really liked each other.”

Ercüment Vural, who created two of the three hit songs from Yeşim Salkım’s debut album Hiç Keyfim Yok, which introduced her to the music industry, shared, “Onno’s song ‘Ben Yoldan Gönüllü Çıktım,’ my song ‘Hiç Keyfim Yok,’ and ‘Son Sigara’ were the three hits from that album. Back then, the album sold over a million copies.”
New Projects Coming from EVP Music!
Ercüment Vural, who has founded a production company called EVP (Ercüment Vural Production) Music, announced that he will be releasing his future projects through his own label. He also mentioned that he is present on all social platforms, inviting his fans to follow him for updates on the exact release dates of his upcoming work.

Ercüment Vural emphasized the need to acknowledge this truth for progress, saying, “We’re just cooking for ourselves and eating it. We don’t have a single world-class pop singer. The problem here is that we’re not objective at all. Especially the singers are extremely lazy.” He also criticized the misuse of artificial intelligence in the music industry, expressing strong disapproval of its impact.

Ercüment Vural, who performed at Eylül Bar last year, announced that he will be back on stage with his team every Thursday this year as well. Expressing his desire to increase the number of performances, Vural stated, “I want to perform a bit more this year,” and also welcomed stage offers.
