The Kadıköy Cinema hosted the premiere of “I am where the butterflies sleep”, a highly anticipated feature film directed by Ceyhan Kandemir. After its festival screenings, this special premiere event attracted film crews, local and international producers, journalists, and prominent figures from the film industry.
A cocktail reception was held, followed by an enchanting live performance of the film’s soundtrack by Harp artist Zeynep Öykü, composed by Cahit Berkay. The spellbinding performance was met with widespread admiration from the audience.
The film’s script was written by Nafiseh Laleh, and its producers were Cansu Özdenak and Özkan Binol. The gala also featured Ahmet Serdar Taşyürek, the director of photography, Yusuf Tekke, the editor, and other key technical crew from Log Yapım. Actors including Karla Kandemir, Yeliz Gerçek, and Emre Kızılırmak also attended the event. Representatives from Kadıköy, Beyoğlu, and Gökçeada Municipalities were also present.
Following the premiere, director Ceyhan Kandemir shared details about the film’s ongoing journey. He announced that on November 15, the film will continue its festival journey with a special screening at the Güzel Ordu Short Film Festival (GO).
