As part of its efforts to adapt our cultural heritage to technology, Turkish Telecom has completed the digital transformation of over a thousand libraries. Continuing its work with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism under the Hitit Culture and Tourism Project, Turkish Telecom provides support for end-to-end digital transformation in cultural centers, archaeological sites, provincial directorates of culture, museums, and all central organizations of the Ministry of Culture. In addition to WiFi services, Turkish Telecom offers the necessary applications under a single system.
Leading Turkey’s digital transformation, Turkish Telecom continues its work on the “Hitit Culture and Tourism Project” in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. As part of the project, Turkish Telecom provides support for end-to-end digital transformation in libraries, cultural centers, archaeological sites, provincial directorates of culture, museums, and all central organizations of the Ministry of Culture.
“We have digitized 1,042 libraries in 81 provinces”
Mustafa Eser, Deputy General Manager of Corporate Sales at Turkish Telecom, stated that with the Hitit Culture and Tourism Project, they aimed to provide a managed infrastructure and access to a richer data source in all units affiliated with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and said, “As Turkish Telecom, we are leading Turkey’s digital transformation with our innovative digital services and investments in national technology initiatives. As part of our efforts to adapt our country’s cultural heritage to technology, we have completed the digital transformation of 1,042 libraries in 81 provinces. In addition, we provide fiber-speed internet access to visitors at cultural centers and archaeological sites, including Atatürk Cultural Center, of which we are the main supporter.”
Free WiFi service in historical places
As part of the ongoing work under the “Hitit Culture and Tourism Project,” while completing the end-to-end digital transformation of over a thousand libraries in 81 provinces of Turkey, WiFi service is provided to guests at all locations, and internet access is also available through TT Mobile for mobile libraries. With the project, which also includes historical sites, the necessary applications in all units of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism are unified under a single system, and fiber-speed internet service is provided at 1,350 locations, 1,045 WiFi points, and nearly 300 facilities.
