Nevşehir Municipality Youth and Sports Club, which participated in the Turkish Wushu Kung Fu Championship held in Antalya with 24 athletes, returned from the championship with 18 medals.
July 15 Martyr Muhammet Oğuz Kılınç Turkey Wushu Kung Fu Championship was held in Antalya.
In the championship organized by the Turkish Wushu Kung Fu Federation at the Bahri Tanrıkulu Sports Hall in Antalya’s Kemer district; 2,500 athletes competed in the categories of “Taolu”, “Sanda”, “Light Sanda”, “Tui Shou”, juniors, stars, youth, adults and veterans.
In the championship, Nevşehir Municipality Youth and Sports Club athletes Esila Başpınar in 42 kg, Ata Hamdi Türk in 27 kg, Yaren Öztürk in 33 kg and Miraç Tuna Şen in 18 kg in the little category, Hüma Şahan came in second in the 24 kg category, 36 Muhammet Ali Demir in kg and Berat Ensar Nazlı in 24 kg came in 3rd.
In the Stars category, Ali Mansur Nazlı, who competed in 48 kg, and Yaren Ünal, who competed in 48 kg, managed to come second.
In the youth category of the championship, 60 kg Rümeysa Nazlı and 70 kg Osman Çağlar Kürkçü became 3rd.
Finally, in the adults category, Bilal Kök ranked 1st in 85 kg, Fatma Nur Kökşen in 56 kg, Burcu Seyitoğlu in 75 kg, Meltem Altundal in 52 kg and Yunus Emre Çetinkaya in 70 kg, and Dönay in 65 kg. Star was 3rd.
In the meantime, Nevşehir Municipality Youth and Sports Club Wushu Kung Fu Team Coach Mustafa Çetinkaya, representing Nevşehir in the veterans category of the championship, became the Turkish Champion in 90 kg.
Athletes who participated in the championship under the umbrella of Nevşehir Municipality Youth and Sports Club under the Nevşehir Municipality Youth and Sports Services Directorate and returned with 6 first, 7 second and 5 third places in the championship, will be eligible for the World Championship, European Championship, International Wushu Festival, International Teams Championship and Balkan Championship. The Turkish National Team will participate in the preparatory camp.
Nevşehir Mayor Dr. Mehmet Savran congratulated Nevşehir Municipality Youth and Sports Club athletes and their trainers, Mustafa Çetinkaya, who marked the Turkish Wushu Kung Fu Championship they attended.
