ODE Yalıtım uses more than 80 percent recycled material in glass wool production
ODE Yalıtım, the largest insulation company with 100 percent domestic capital in Turkey, has taken recycling to the highest level in production. The company produces more than 80 percent of its glass wool production from recycled material as a result of its R&D activities. Stating that they focus on recycling in extruded polystyrene foam, bituminous membrane, stone wool and glass wool production processes, ODE Yalıtım Board Member Ozan Turan said, “We continue our activities aimed at providing energy efficiency, supporting the circular economy, being sensitive to climate change, and respecting society and the environment. We are moving confidently towards our zero waste goal.”
ODE Yalıtım, the only insulation company that has Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for all the insulation material groups it produces, continues its R&D studies to reduce the environmental impacts in production. The company increases the use of recycled material in production within the scope of these studies.

Giving information about the use of recycling in production, ODE Yalıtım Board Member Ozan Turan said, “As a company that focuses on protecting the environment and natural environment, which is the primary element of improving life, we work to make our products compatible with environmental and human health and to document this compliance with certifications. In this direction, we focus especially on resource conservation, waste reduction, reuse and recovery. We carry out R&D activities for all our product groups that are suitable for using recycled material as material, and we aim to reach the highest levels in conversion rates. We have reached the maximum recycled material usage in glass wool production right now. We will continue our activities aimed at providing energy efficiency, supporting the circular economy, being sensitive to climate change, and respecting society and the environment without interruption.”
Stating that they have reached the highest point in recycled material usage in glass wool production as a result of R&D activities, Turan said; “With this rate, we have reached the highest point in recycled material usage in glass wool production. On the other hand, we are moving confidently towards our zero waste goal by focusing entirely on recycling in our extruded polystyrene foam, bituminous membrane, stone wool and glass wool production processes.”
