The athletes of Osmangazi Municipality Swimming Team made a mark on the 11-12 Age National Development Project Group Competitions held at the Atıcılar Olympic Swimming Pool.
The 11-12 Age National Development Project Group Competitions, included in the Turkish Swimming Federation’s 2023 activity program, witnessed fierce competitions. Osmangazi Municipality’s successful swimmers excelled among a total of 356 athletes from 43 clubs, earning numerous medals.
Among the young stars who displayed outstanding performances against their competitors in the 50-meter backstroke category, İdil Derin Arslan achieved first place in the group, while Melek Kepçetutar secured third place. Sahra Çelikkökü claimed second place in the 50-meter and 100-meter freestyle events and third place in the 200-meter backstroke. Additionally, the 4×100-meter freestyle girls’ team, consisting of Sahra Çelikkökü, İdil Derin Arslan, Tanem Öğütür, and Buğlem Dayı, along with the 4×100-meter freestyle mixed team, comprised of Sahra Çelikkökü, Emir Aybey, Tanem Öğütür, and Egemen Aybey, impressed with their third-place finishes.
Expressing great joy in reaping the rewards of their infrastructure work, Osmangazi Mayor Mustafa Dündar sincerely congratulated the athletes and their coaches.
