Uludağ University Veterinary Faculty senior students received practical animal health and care training at Osmangazi Municipality Stray Animals Natural Life and Treatment Center.
Students who came to Osmangazi Municipality Stray Animals Natural Life and Treatment Center received information from the authorities about “Applied Veterinary Medicine and Treatment Methods”. The future veterinarian candidates, who received information about the shelter from the authorities and who love the animals in the shelter, had the opportunity to participate in the surgery of a dog that was neutered at the end of the training. While the authorities gave detailed explanations to the students about the treatment, the students had the opportunity to find answers to their questions about the operation.
Osmangazi Municipality Environmental Protection and Control Manager Ahmet Oğuzoğlu said, “Our students observe their professional knowledge on site by participating in surgeries with our veterinarians. At the same time, she takes advantage of all the opportunities of our shelter by finding the opportunity to receive hands-on training. Thus, we contribute to the training of future veterinary candidates.”
