Sakhalin Istanbul restaurant is the new project of the legendary White Rabbit Family brand created by Chef Vladimir Mukhin, after Moscow, Dubai and Bodrum. The chefs of Sakhalin Istanbul are Michelin Starred Alexey Kogay and Doğukan Kaya. Vladimir Mukhin, Michelin Starred Chef of “Sakhalin” in Moscow, is the master brand chef who creates the menu for all restaurants.
Sakhalin is a new generation city restaurant! Starting from the rich undersea world of Sakhalin island, the restaurant comes to the city and creates a feast of flavors with special recipes that appeal to everyone, including the meat and pasta options that city dwellers are used to. Vladimir Mukhin blends the best local produce with Mediterranean and Asian cooking techniques. He cooks seafood with Mediterranean seasonal fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices to create the perfect dishes.
Architect Irina Glik, founder of Geometry design studio, has interpreted Sakhalin’s corporate decoration for Istanbul and designed a stylish, modern, art-filled space. The centerpiece of the restaurant is the raw bar, where guests can see the seafood used in the restaurant and choose it for dinner. The restaurant’s transparent wine cellar and the trendsetter bar at the entrance are the interiors with the most exclusive presentation in Istanbul, while the outdoor terrace is open for smoking and cigar smoking and is open all year round.
About Alexey Kogay:
Alexey Kogay is the head chef of Sakhalin restaurant in Moscow and Sakhalin brand chef in Turkey. Alexey has been working in the kitchen for over 20 years. In 2013 he opened the Pan-Asian restaurant “Zodiac”, in 2015 he became the chef of the Peruvian restaurant Chicha. In 2021, Alexey became the head chef of Sakhalin in Moscow. After Sakhalin Bodrum, the Michelin-starred chef continues to head Sakhalin Istanbul.
About Doğukan Kaya:
Doğukan Kaya worked as a chef in Moscow Sochi. After 3 years in Sakhalin Bodrum as “Sous chef” he moved to Sakhalin Istanbul.
