The Ordinary Meeting of the Aliağa Municipal Council for the month of June will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at 18:00. The meeting, chaired by Mayor Serkan Acar, will cover 12 agenda items.
The session at the Municipal Council Chamber will commence with the reading and approval of the minutes from the council meetings held on May 2 and May 5, 2023. As part of the motions received from the presidency, the division and determination of boundaries of Yeni Mahalle and Yeni Şakran Mahalle according to Article 9 of Municipal Law No. 5393 will be discussed, along with assigning names to the divided neighborhoods.
VOTE ON THE NEW STADIUM PROJECT IN THE COUNCIL Due to the promotion of Aliağa Football Team to the Third League and the need to build a stadium in Aliağa that befits professional leagues, discussions with the Ministry of Youth and Sports have resulted in the decision to construct a modern stadium with FIFA standards, accommodating 8,000 spectators. Therefore, the matter of allocating an additional budget of 300 million TL to the Department of Civil Works Budget for the new stadium project, which was not foreseen in the 2023 Fiscal Year Budget, will be discussed.
JOINT SERVICE PROJECT WITH TURKISH JOCKEY CLUB To establish a joint service project with the Turkish Jockey Club, a protocol will be signed regarding the Aliağa Hippotherapy and Disabled Rehabilitation Center, which will be inaugurated by the Aliağa Municipality within the scope of the joint service project. The protocol will include the training of personnel working at the center and obtaining consultancy support for the operation of services at the center. It will also grant Mayor Serkan Acar the authority to carry out the necessary tasks and procedures.
