The Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Turkey is launching a new program in 2024 to support the psychosocial and cultural development of young people affected by disasters. Within the scope of the “Empowerment Support Program for Youth Affected by Disasters,” various cultural education projects will be implemented for young people in the earthquake-affected regions.
Cultural Education Project for the Earthquake Region
As part of the program, artistic activities such as psychosocial theater, drama, writing, short film, photography, and performances will be organized to contribute to the psychological and social recovery of young people in the earthquake-affected regions. This project will provide an opportunity for young people to overcome the trauma they have experienced and express themselves.
Program Scope
The program will be implemented in provinces affected by the earthquake, including Kahramanmaraş, Adana, Adıyaman, Diyarbakır, Elazığ, Gaziantep, Hatay, Kilis, Malatya, Osmaniye, and Şanlıurfa. The aim is to support young people in these provinces with cultural and artistic activities, enabling them to participate more actively and strongly in societal life.
Support and Cooperation
The “Empowerment Support Program for Youth Affected by Disasters (2024)” is supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and aims to help young people in the region regain hope and resilience for a brighter future.
