Keçiören Municipality displayed Turkey’s first domestic and electric car, TOGG, in front of the municipality building and introduced it to the public. Keçiören residents greeted the national vehicle with great excitement and those who wanted to take a souvenir photo in front of the car lined up.
Keçiören Mayor Turgut Altınok also examined the car closely with the citizens and thanked Turkish engineers and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who played a leading role in the car’s production.
Mayor Altınok said, “They told us ‘You can’t produce a car.’ We produced TOGG. We also have our missile, unmanned combat aircraft, submarine, Hürkuş and Kaan that we produce from the hangar. Our President says, ‘The 21st century will be the century of Turks.’ We, as a state and a nation, will continue to work with all our might on this path. Hopefully, we will reach the level of contemporary civilizations that Atatürk showed us in science and technology.”
