Wind energy continues to play a crucial role in the global energy transition. Innovations and collaborations in this field are shaping the future of the sector. WindEurope, one of the world’s most prestigious wind energy events that brings the industry together, holds special significance for our country this year.
As part of our bid for WindEurope 2028, the Turkish delegation will have important meetings. The Turkish Wind Energy Association (TÜREB) is preparing to attend the WindEurope 2025 event in Denmark, scheduled for April 8-10, 2025, to promote Turkey’s wind energy potential on the international stage.
This event, which brings together global leaders in the wind energy sector, will host more than 15,000 participants. Over 550 companies will showcase their latest products and services, while more than 70 sessions will be held, and over 350 speakers will address developments in the industry. The TÜREB delegation aims to strengthen collaborations with global stakeholders, follow innovations in the sector, and introduce Turkey’s wind energy potential to a wider audience.

A SPECIAL SESSION BY TÜREB WILL BE HELD AT WINDEUROPE
As part of the WindEurope 2025 conference, which will feature over 350 speakers from governments, industry, NGOs, academia, defense, financial institutions, and local communities, the session titled “A New Wave in Turkey’s Wind: Growth, Investment, and Global Competition” will take place on Wednesday, April 9. The session will be moderated by TÜREB President Dr. İbrahim Erden. The speakers will include Mr. Zeynel Kılınç, Deputy Director of the Presidential Investment Office, Mr. Mert Yaycıoğlu, CEO of Enerjisa Üretim, and Mr. Gökhan Serdar, TÜREB Vice President Responsible for Industry and Vice President of TPI EMEA Region.

WE ARE WORKING HARD FOR OUR CANDIDACY FOR WINDEUROPE 2028
TÜREB President Dr. İbrahim Erden: “Through the B2B meetings we will hold during the event, we aim to establish direct contact with industry professionals and strengthen collaborations. By developing strong and long-term relationships with stakeholders worldwide, we also aim to increase Turkey’s visibility in the wind energy field on the international stage. We proudly announced our candidacy to host WindEurope 2028, one of the most prestigious wind energy events in the world. This candidacy is a significant opportunity to showcase Turkey’s strong position in the wind energy sector internationally and to enhance innovation and collaboration in renewable energy. Both the public and private sectors are working with all our strength.”
WindEurope 2025, in addition to being a platform to discuss the latest innovations and technological developments in the sector, also provides participants with the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge about offshore wind energy projects. During the event, the TÜREB delegation plans to accelerate Turkey’s offshore wind energy project strategies by observing the latest developments in this field. The technical tours organized within this scope will create a significant opportunity for the delegation, while collaborations and exchanges of ideas with global leaders in the wind energy sector will strengthen Turkey’s competitive edge in this field and provide valuable insights into innovative technologies.
