Would you like to lose weight while sitting down? Attracting attention with her book, Expert Psychologist and Eating Disorders Consultant Yelda Başaran posed for a special photoshoot to answer her readers’ questions on what healthier alternatives we can offer our guests instead of sweets during Kurban Bayramı visits in her column “The Art of Good Living with Yelda Başaran” in Hürriyet Kelebek Magazine.
Başaran says, “During holidays, we offer sugar along with Turkish coffee, saying ‘A cup of coffee is remembered for forty years.’ Later, we gain weight and feel bad psychologically.”
“If we want to feel good both psychologically and physically during and after the holiday, and spend it with a healthy and fit appearance, we can appeal to both our eyes and our stomachs by eating dates, dried figs, and seasonal fruits instead of sugar, which won’t make us feel guilty after consuming them,” said Başaran, posing for the camera and wishing everyone a healthy and fit holiday.
